My bot is Responding with the Default Message or a Different Message

If your bot is responding with "Sorry, I'm just a bot, but someone real will be right with you" or another default you have set up

Something is blocking your bot's ability to fire off your intended Dialogues.

  1. Make sure you do not have an Auto-Responder setup on your Facebook business page's messenger.

    Go into your Facebook Page's settings. Click "Messaging". Make sure "Response Assistant" and "Show a Messenger Greeting" are turned off.
  2. Make sure you do not have any other type of bot connected to your Facebook page! 

    Go to your Facebook Page's settings. Click "Messenger Platform". Make sure you have no other bot platforms in your subscribed apps section.
  3. Make sure none of the Facebook Page's Admin has other bot platform

    Go to the personal Facebook Page's settings. Click "Business Integrations". Make sure you have no other bot platforms in this section.
  4. Make sure have all Automated Response turned OFF

    Go to your Page's Inbox, go to Automated Response Option and make sure all options are turned OFF.
  5. Make sure not to delete your conversations with the bot.

    If you have done this, delete yourself from the contact list within MobileMonkey as well, and then try to chat with your page again.
