Howdy chatbot fans, and welcome back.
Let’s take a look at our last widget here, the video widget, which is what you use when you want to send videos to your users through chat, It’s simple, just like the image widget I could upload a video by clicking it, and I’m going to find a video to upload, wait till it uploads.
And there’s actually a cool story behind this video, this video is a huge l50 foot tall billboard in Manhattan right in the heart of Times Square, and this was a client of ours, Sofa Mania, big company, selling tons and tons of affordable furniture off their website, and they bought billboards in New York City in the heart of Times Square, a billboard in the Lincoln Tunnel by the Newark Airport in California, and in Chicago.
And the client came to me to design the billboards, and I was super excited about that, and I designed a billboard, and in fact, the Billboard showcases a little child, which is my own son in the Billboard, so it was really funny and really cute, and it’s right now as we speak live in Times Square, my parents went to see it yesterday.
But, I digress, and no one really cares about that. So, let’s test this page, see how the video format works, and hopefully the bot will send me my video, and there it is.
And the video auto plays, I could put in some volume, if there’s volume to the video, there’s that billboard in the background.
You should just know about the testing of the messenger bot, it might take a couple times to test the bot, and you might have to refresh it, you might have to delete the conversation, sort of play with it a little bit, but when it’s real live with an individual user who’s not being sent multiple tests through Facebook messenger, through Monkey, it works every time.
Just because you test this page, you open it up a messenger, and it might not load right away, that’s not what’s happening with users, as long as it as you get it to eventually test it and you can see what it looks like, you can be 100% confident that it is working properly on the front end. So, that’s the video widget.
