Howdy chatbot fans and welcome back.
In this lecture, I’m going to show you how to use another HTML element called link to messenger, very powerful. It allows you to basically use any text hyperlink and send people to Facebook Messenger. This is commonly used on blog posts. If you write blogs instead of having an opt-in to my blog form at the end of the blog or sign up for newsletter tips, you could have a text link that takes people right into messenger.
The benefit is you’re creating a much more unified and user-friendly experience for the actual customer for your client, for your prospect. They have it in a place that’s familiar with them. They could interact with the bot on their own time, and all you need to do is have them reply something click a button. Ask them if they’d like cookies in the bot, have them reply I love cookies, and you have all their information.
It’s like these old lead-gen opt-in forms multiplied by an efficiency factor of a hundred. It’s incredible. It’s incredibly powerful.
I want to show you exactly how to set this up. So here we are back in Mobile Monkey, and this is a mobile monkey for– this is a mobile monkey account for a different client Karen’s negotiating seminars.
They’re the largest negotiating program in the world having trained most of the fortune 500 over a million attendees giving 307 hours a year in over 90 cities around the world.
It’s exciting stuff. There are client of ours that we were have a very very good relationship with them, and it’s pretty cool.
So here we are back in our HTML elements section of our lead magnets in Mobile Monkey. We’re gonna click add HTML element and we’re gonna click link to messenger instead of customer chat widget, and you’re gonna see a similar pane that you saw when we added the link to messenger.
When we added the chat widget. pane, we’re gonna name it so I’m gonna name this link to messenger, and we’re gonna keep it as link and, I’m gonna give it– I’m gonna send people through this specific link to a page seminar types learn more.
I created a simple page about which gives people the option to learn more about specific seminars, different seminar types that they offer on their website.
One thing to also keep in mind is you could create multiple links. if you have different blog post categories, let’s say you have a blog post category of industry news, another one about in-depth product guides, another one about testimonials, another one studies, you could create separate links that go to separate bot workflows that give people information about the content they were reading in Facebook Messenger on their own time
Guys this is wild wild stuff. If you’re not getting excited, then I’m not teaching this clearly enough because this is really exciting. In this example, we’re gonna actually add this to an email. And what a lot of people don’t do is they think that the only place they could add these links are to their blog posts.
Adding this to your email marketing campaigns is enormously powerful. I know I’ve been railing on email basically this entire course. That doesn’t mean that I don’t do email, that doesn’t mean that my clients don’t do email, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be doing email, email is still an incredibly powerful tool.
it’s just not nearly as powerful as this and most 99% of cases, but if you’ve been building your contact list successfully over the last few years, and I hope all of you have been, or even if you’re just starting now, you probably have a good amount of email contacts or email subscribers or hopefully you do and hopefully you will, and this is a great natural Avenue to piggyback off emails power, and to create instead of sending people to a web site to download a case study or an e-book or whatever it may be or to fill out a contact form or price request form.
It’s so much more powerful and user friendly and less frustrating to give a person the ability to do this all in Messenger. So let’s go grab this link and I’m gonna show you how we do this.
I’m going to jump into HubSpot which is the marketing tool for the client, and I’m gonna go back to our list so just get you give you a brief sense of what’s going on here so.
We have all these different lists, and if we take a look at this is a list of eighteen and a half thousand contacts here.
This is a lot of people that are getting marketing emails from us through a workflows on a regular basis, and these are successful email campaigns. We get people coming to the website, but we can make these marketing campaigns more successful by using Mobile Monkeys HTML elements in a tactfully placed throughout our email campaign.
I’m gonna jump into an email and I’m gonna take a look at let’s see how about this email which is a follow up after somebody submits a request for an e-book, and of course this request for an e-book is going to be transitioned into Facebook Chatbot structure
If we edit the email, they have first person gets their book follow this link to search for an a company, for an upcoming seminar near you.
That is gonna bring them to the website and give them a sub optimal experience and most people aren’t reading to search for a seminar right after downloading a free piece of content.
I’m gonna delete that and put something else in that’s gonna be a lot better.
I’m gonna say click here tool to choose. That’s the operant word here. Choose click here to choose which of our popular seminar formats. You’d like to learn more about. We’ll send you relevant by chat on your own schedule without any pressure.
Now, I’m not sure if that would be the final copy here, but it’s something to work off of it. Usually the final copy is about 10 or 15 revisions after I write the first version which is usually bad. Paste that link in there, add link.
now I’m gonna go in send a test email, and I’m gonna send it to– send that email to myself, choose a contact Richard, send test email, email sent and let’s go take a look how this looks.
I want to show this to you on a mobile phone as well as a desktop because it’s just so powerful, and let’s just wait for this email to come in here.

I click get started. It sends me to the page that that link takes me to. Kharis is the world leader in negotiating seminars, and I could learn about the in-house seminar negotiating seminar the train your team seminar and each one of those links will now bring me further into the Chatbot funnel.
Again, this is happening on my own time as the user getting the information that I want. I don’t need to navigate some clunky mobile site that– it’s a nice mobile site, don’t get me wrong we actually just recently redesigned it and it works great.
You can’t even compare to what that experience is like being able to get a marketing email opening up messenger and I could chat with the company.
I could be funneled into the right Chatbot page that has the information that I’m specifically looking for. I could leave off and pick up the conversation whenever I darn well choose. Then if you’re using that in conjunction with the website widget on your website, I can come to Kara’s website and see my conversation from my messenger right on the website.
I hope these lead magnets are powerful. These lead magnets are seriously seriously powerful, and when you use them well and you put them in the right places. It’s extraordinary the results you could see. Add these links to all of your marketing emails. Add these links to all your blog posts
Remember, keep in mind the content build out, and if you go back– and let’s go back to mobile monkey real quick, and back to pages and remember everything’s built in pages. I created a group called link to messenger pages, and I have my seminar types learn more, and then I would have learn more about the in-house, learn more about the train your team seminar.
It gives you information sends you to the right section of the site that has that information. if I have a downloadable guide, I’ll send you that PDF in an attachment.
There’s so many things you could do her. Again, the power of this is that your customers and this is how you get buy-in from your clients, this is how you sell it to clients.
we’re gonna create a system where we collect more leads for less money, and the experience is more pleasant and we’re adding more value to our users, to our leads to our context. That’s the power of these lead magnets.
Add it to your content blog posts in a sidebar marketing emails. 100% you could absolutely do that. You could even put that link in a QR code on a business card if you thought about that. I never thought about that. I just thought about it like literally just second.
there’s no reason why you can’t take that link and have it on a business cards a QR code, person scans it instead of going to some boring home page or some boring business card digital version of a business card. Send them to your Facebook Messenger page and start chatting with them and say and have a special business card chat funnel.
It says, hey, thanks for scanning my QR code. That’s awesome man. And now you have all their information. They didn’t need to give you a business card. This stuff is incredible. Do that. Anyway. That’s linked to messenger. That’s how you add it to an email and that’s how you do it right
