Howdy Chatbot fans, and welcome back. Let’s talk about the gallery widget. The gallery widget is a fantastic way to showcase products with images, with links to specific products, and with descriptions to specific products.
I use gallery widgets all the time towards the end of funnels or if a customer, or if a user through a Chatbot asks to see a specific line of items.
Again, as you build out these chat funnels, and your and you’re giving these branches, or when a person says they want to see this product line, you put them into this chat funnel page.
If a person wants to see a different product line you, give them a different personalized chat funnel page, and that’s when you could start using galleries to show specific product recommendations that you want to push.
It’s even more powerful after a customer self identifies that they are in the market for that line of product. Let’s just take a quick look at the gallery widget to see how it works. You open up the gallery widget, and we need a picture, a title.
You do not need a description, and then a URL to the item you could also add buttons and add multiple items. Let’s just go and we’re gonna grab from our client sofa mania. We’re gonna go over to the sofa section, and let’s just say we’re going to take a few of these as samples. I’m gonna save this image.
We’ll just do three for now, save. I’m gonna get their URLs. First, we’ll start off with the Henry mid-century modern tufted linen sofa. I’m also gonna grab the URL, go back to Mobile Monkey, add the URL in the URL field, add the title in the title field, and upload a picture and you have the option to have it rectangular square. I’m gonna leave it as rectangular, and I have the option to crop it. I’m gonna do here.
My mistake. Drag it nice and carefully. You could reposition, click crop, and you’re good to go. Now, a person will be automatically able to just go to that link. You could also add a button that will bring a person to a phone number depending on how you’re using the gallery feature, but in my case, I’m not going to be adding a button because I’m going to allow users to navigate to the site using the product link itself. Now, let me add another item.
Upload the picture, grab the URL, and grab the title. I’m not adding descriptions, but you can but just for the sake of saving time and not wasting anybody’s time. Paste in the title and I’m going to paste in the URL. I’m going to add an item. I’m gonna upload a picture, grab the URL, grab the title, crop, center, paste the URL, and I have my gallery.
That was what took me a minute to create a nice gallery of three items, and you could add more items as well. If you want to reposition or edit the crop, you could upload a new picture you, could remove the image, you could crop the image again by just hovering over the image in the gallery. Let’s take a look at how this would work.
Let’s add a button to this last one just to show you how it looks. So we could do order over the phone, order by phone. I’m gonna put a default number in here, 800 and add the button. let’s take a look at how this would– how this gallery chat would look in real time in Facebook Messenger by clicking testing this page and opening it up in Messenger.
And as you can see here it looks fantastic right I could oh it’s the second title didn’t pop up. Over here, we have the three items.
If I click on any one of them, it’ll go to the right URL. I’m going to click and we’ll go to the URL. Great. That’s the image that we had and if I go here to the last one where I had that button, I could click order by phone, and it will open up FaceTime, or on a mobile phone it’ll prompt me to dial that number.
So as you can see, the gallery item is like a really visual and interactive way to showcase your products directly within Facebook manager. It’s almost like a mini shopping experience. You could add buttons, add titles, add descriptions.
It’s a really neat way. And like I said in the beginning, this becomes the gallery. widget becomes especially more powerful when you’re using it after you’ve under–after you’ve gathered information from the users what they’re in the market for, or what sorts of products or services that you want to see.
Also, don’t make the mistake and think that the gallery widget is only for e-commerce. There’s a bunch of different creative ways you could use it. You could have beautiful imagery to highlight certain types of services.
If you’re an agency, you could say look at our social media management package, look at our bot builder package, and you could have instead of a title, you could put a price and you could put a link to that service in your website.
You could get creative. no matter what type of business you’re in. you can get creative. I’m thinking of like Facebook carousel ads right now. If you guys are familiar with Facebook carousel ads, you have that ability to show striking bold imagery with a caption for each one. You could tell a story with your gallery blocks as well.
It doesn’t have to be just dry cut and dry ecommerce links to products. There’s a bunch of really creative things you could do with gallery items. I’m excited to see what you guys come up with. That is the gallery widget; it’s really useful it’s really cool.
There’s a lot you could do and of course don’t forget the emojis. I didn’t put emojis in there, but emojis are always great; I can’t overstate that enough.
