The Challenge
Tyent needed to increase email performance and revenue.
With two small tweaks to their retention tech stack, Tyent made changes its shoppers could not see using CustomersAI extended visitor identification and email deliverability tool.
Two nearly equal groups received the same browse-abandonment email inside the same Klaviyo flow. They weren’t testing a new subject line, a richer offer, or constantly updated creative.
It was whether Klaviyo recognized shoppers and if shoppers saw the timely emails they received.
The Solution
Step 1: Recover the intent Klaviyo could not see
Tyent sells premium alkaline hydrogen water ionizers. Often costing thousands of dollars, a product-page visit can signal serious buying intent long before a shopper fills out a form or starts checkout.
But Klaviyo can only automate against the behavior it can connect to a known profile.
CustomersAI extended visitor identity tool, X-Ray, gave Tyent another first-party signal layer.
When X-Ray recognized a shopper viewing a product, Tyent could use that signal in Klaviyo—even when expired cookies and cross-device touchpoints limited native Shopify and Klaviyo tracking to connect the session to the person.
Tyent built a browse-abandonment flow around that signal. It waited behind the native flow and filtered out shoppers already captured by Tyent’s standard product-view, cart, checkout, or purchase activity.
The purpose was simple: recover high-intent opportunities the primary path had missed without duplicating messages.
X-Ray expanded the opportunity of real-time intent email.
Step 2: Ensure more shoppers saw the message
Tyent’s browse-abandonment flow already had the ingredients marketers usually try to optimize: a high-intent trigger, timely delivery, proven creative, and high-value products.
The next question was: What if the same email could work much harder simply by reaching a better place in the inbox?
Tyent added CustomersAI’s email deliverability script, Inboxer, to an existing high-volume browse-abandonment flow and placed a 50/50 random audience split before the first email.
The Inboxer branch and control branch used the same:
- Subject line: “Let’s Revisit What Caught Your Eye”
- Preview text: “Take a closer look”
- Sender and sending domain
- 30-minute delay after the product-view trigger
- Flow logic and conversion goal
The visible email remained the same. The audience allocation remained even. Delivered volume ultimately differed by only five emails.
One branch included Inboxer. One did not. Then the test ran quietly in the background.
Months later, the result was clear: inbox deliverability matters.
What Happened?
When the team returned months later, the difference was not marginal. The same emails produced radically different economics.
Across the year-to-date reporting window reviewed for this case study, that X-Ray-triggered flow produced 10,674 first-message deliveries and $44,062 in Klaviyo-attributed Placed Order Value across the full sequence.
For the Inboxer deliverability test:
Control branch
1,477 delivered • 40.2% open rate • 2.3% click rate • 0.3% placed-order rate • $8,280 attributed revenue
Inboxer branch
1,472 delivered • 43.1% open rate • 4.1% click rate • 1.0% placed-order rate • $45,500 attributed revenue
With virtually identical delivered volume, the Inboxer branch produced:
- 2.9 percentage points more opens
- 78% lift in clicks
- More than 3× the placed-order rate
- $37,220 more Klaviyo-attributed revenue
- 5.5× the revenue per delivered email
The shoppers saw the same message while the business saw a completely different result.

Why It Worked
Reason 1.
More signal created more conversion opportunities.
Audience intent matters. Timely signal is key in producing a click and conversion, and Klaviyo’s standard pixel can’t capture all the shopper intent.
Reason 2.
More clicks created more purchase opportunities.
Inboxer gave the same proven creative a stronger opportunity to be seen and acted on.
Reason 3.
A small difference in orders created a dramatic revenue gap.
The lift compounded down the funnel.
The Impact
Tyent did not spend months rebuilding the flow around the test. It did not rotate through a long series of offers. It did not need to hammer its audience to manufacture the win.
Inboxer ran inside an existing flow until the accumulated results told the story: $45,500 versus $8,280 from the same first email.
For a brand selling considered, high-ticket products, that distinction matters. The goal is not to flood the list. It is to make every high-intent opportunity more valuable.
Tyent already had the right offer. X-Ray recognized more of its shopper intent signals. Inboxer helped the email capitalize on it.
Most marketers focus email optimization efforts in the part of the message a customer can see.
Tyent’s test exposed the value hidden underneath it.
The same creative, sent at the same moment to two randomly divided audiences, produced a 5.5× revenue difference.
